I am very choosy, when selecting films: Mohit

Mohit Ghai is perhaps one of the well-known name for Bhojpuria audience. He started his career with hindi film "Puchho mere dil se", and then he did one more "Ho jata hai pyar" before starting his career in Bhojpuri film industry.
At Bhojpuri film industry, he has done several films like "UP Bihar Bambai Express", "Chhaila Babu", "Saas Rani, Bahu Naukarani", "Jab lahu pukarela", "Laxmi aisan dulhin hamaar", "Rang li chunariya tohre naam", and "Krishna Arjun". Most of his films have got successful, and he now enjoys a huge fan-following. His last release was "Ham hayee khalnayak", which gave a new dimension to his career. We met him last week to discuss about his career.

Your films are doing quite well, how do you feel?

It is said that nothing succeeds like success, and I am feeling the same. I am thankful to the audience for supporting me and my films. Apart from them, I would like to thank my family and film makers as well.

Please tell us about your forthcoming film "Dharmatma".

In Dharmatma, I am playing lead with Ravi Kishan. This is basically an action-packed drama, in a romantic flavour.

You started your career as a solo actor, then why most of your films are multi-starrer?

There is no specific reason as such. I am also doing several movies alone. I had just completed "Bhajogini", as solo actor. As far as multi-starrer films are concerned, almost everyone is doing it. But, only six films in past three years of your career, any reasons?

I am very choosy, as far as films are concerned. I only sign the film, if I like the story. I would like to do better films instead of increasing the number of films.

What about Hindi films, did you stopped doing them?

No, I am still doing Hindi films. One of my Hindi movies "Sirf Romance, love by chance" is ready for release, where as shooting is on for another one named "Husband". Please tell us about your forthcoming Bhojpuri films? In Bhojpuri, "Dharmatma" is ready for release, and several films like "Bhagjogini", "Sanch bhail sapanawa hamaar" are in queue.

Billo Rani was a challanging role : Nirahua

Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua, Silver Jubilee Super Star of Bhojpuri Cinema, is a dedicated actor of Bhojpuri and wants to establish Bhojpuri Cinema at par with global cinema. He does not believe in numbers of his films but wants to do only quality films. These virtues make him a respected name amongst the Bhojpuri Stars.
Recently his home production film Prem Ke Rog Bhayeel was released in Bihar and proved to be a super duper hit film. As per Bihar Distributor Film is giving Record Breaking collection about 60 Lacs in First Week in Bihar . Now the film is going to be released in Mumbai and rest of India soon. Almost the whole Bhojpuri Film Industry was present at the premier show of the film Prem Ke Rog Bhayeel held at Mumbai recently and every one praised the film. Specially the role of Billo Rani played by Nirahua. They said only Nirahua was capable of this feat and will be remembered long for this role.
Presented below are the excerpts of an interview of Nirahua done at the occasion of the premier show:
Your home prpduction film ‘Prem Ke Rog Bhayeel ‘ is doing a roaring business in Bihar. How do you feel about it?
I gave the film my best honestly, and when you give something the best of yours, you are bound to succeed. That is why almost all of my films are hit at the box-offices. I was confidant of Prem Ke Rog Bhayeel being a success. Naturally, I felt good when I was told that it has done wonders in Bihar where it was released simultaneously in 32 cinema halls and is giving more than hundred percent result! Our director Farooq Siddiqui has discharged his duties with responsibility.
Don’t you feel that the role of Billo Rani is influenced by ‘Chachi 420 ‘or ‘Aunty No.1 ‘, because all these films showed the hero romancing with his love in the guise of a girl?
No, I don’t totally agree with you. You can say that the film somewhat repeats those films but it is totally different from those films in many aspects. The film gives a healthy and good entertainment. Honestly speaking the role of Billo Rani was a challenge for me and I accepted the challenge to the best of my capability. And the results are in front of you!
What message does the film convey?
If you want do resolve something with force you are bound to fail. But if you try it with love and compassion you are certain of succeeding. My girlfriend in the film is the daughter of a powerlord. He is against our marriage and deploys all kinds of force against me, But finally I win him over with my love as a girl.
What was that special something which made you agree to do the film?
At the outset I was influenced when Farooq Siddiquir narrated the story to me. I felt it to be a total story mirroring life. I have done these before but this time it was a different story and the cinegoers will find a new Nirahua and will come to see the film again and again.
Did you encounter some problems doing this role?
No. Nothing. My co-artists Pakhi Hegde, Awadhesh Mishra, and Manoj Tiger helped me a lot and they reviewed my every shot. I would also like to thank Farooq Ahmad Siddiqui who got the best out of me and a very good film was produced.
Are you now in the position to choose your roles?
Yes, of course! I am only doing selected films now and want that Bhojpuri films get international recognition. I started my own film production house keeping this aim of making good films in Bhojpuri. Prem Ke Rog Bhayeel is the example of that devotion. Nest film of my production house is Nirahua Tangewala which will be the biggest Bhojpuri Film till date. In reality I want to change the taste of Bhojpuri Cinegoers so that they choose to see only class films in Bhojpuri. Now I want to produce Bhojpuri Films for the international market.
What is more going on these days?
My films are regularly making waves. Pratigya has done Silver Jubilee, Deewana has completed 50 days in Bihar, so has Chalani Ke Chalal Dulha in Bihar and UP starring my youger brother Pravesh Lal in the lead role. I have just completed the shootings of Parivaar and many are in the pipeline. I am all booked for the next two years.

Awadhesh Mishra proves himself yet again

dozens of films as villain, He is known as 'bad man' of Bhojpuri film industry. And after looking at his performance in Nirahua's "Prem ke rog bhail", everyone is convinced that, he is the undisputed best villain of Bhojpuri film industry, and he has no competition.
"Al though there are many villains in the industry, but there is something which makes him different from all others. He is a natural actor, and his way of delivering dialogs make him popular among audience," said Farrukh Siddiqui, director of the movie. In this movie, Awadhesh is playing the role of Pakkhi's father, who later (after interval) falls in love with Billo Rani, the famale awatar of Dineshlal Yadav Nirahua. Then, he has a famous item song with Billo Rani as well. "Hey, this is perhaps one of my best films. I enjoyed the comedy part, especially the one where I am running behind Billo Rani like a crazy lover... Now, I know that I can do very good comedy as well," says Awadhesh, in an exclusive interview. Having won the "Best Villain" award twice, Awadhesh has equally good relations with Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan and Dineshlal Yadav Nirahua. Shooting completed for "Garda garda..."

for Vinay Anand and Sanjay Singh starrer Bhojpuri film "Garda garda kaile badu, jabse bhailu jawaan" completed last week at various locations of Gurajarat & Mumbai. For Sanjay singh, it is his first Bhojpuri film as actor. "You can call it an action-packed romantic film. Entire team has worked vey hard on this film, and we expect the audience to support us," said Vinay Anand. The film is directed my Mukesh K Dev, whose "Jaade me balma pyara lage" is doing good in Bihar. Major roles in this film are being played by Vinay Anand, Sanjay Singh, Rani Chaturvedi, Divya Dwivedi, Dinesh Choudhary, Jyoti Kothari, Rama Mishra and others.
