Dadasaheb Phalke Academy (an all India body of 38 cine association) takes forward the initiative taken by Icons Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, A R Rehman, supported by Johnny Lever, Anu Malik and many more to change the Indian Hindi Film Industry’s existing name “Bollywood” with a new original name, an identity of its own.

People in general are welcome to come forward with their suggestions of the new name fot the Indian Hindi Film Industry.The winner whose suggested name is finalized by the jury with be awarded with a Trophy by a Star Celebrity on the 3^rd May 2011, the day of birth Anniversary of Indian Cinema, when “Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards” and “Phalke Jayanti” are going to be held at Bhaidas Hall, Vile Parle, Mumbai.
