An aspiring Bhojpuri actor, who is the only earning member of her family, lost her left arm after she fell from a running train near Goregaon station last Tuesday.
The victim, Bhawna Tiwari, who was headed home to Mira Road, managed to board the train but lost her grip and fell. The wheels of the train ran over her left arm. Commuters who witnessed the incident notified the station master who then alerted GRP officials. The victim was rushed to Bhagwati Hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
Tiwari had been in the industry for the last four years and had recently started getting good offers.
Director Sujit Puri, who recently cast Tiwari as the second lead in his upcoming
film 'Rangeela Raja Babu' said, "Tiwari was a resident of Kanpur. She had come to Mumbai with her parents just four years ago to become a superstar, but the accident has destroyed all her dreams."
